The Perfect Latte Syrup
This wonderful syrup recipe uses the sweetness of the lavender blooms to create an aromatic and sticky syrup ideal for drizzling on cakes, ice cream and in lemonade. We love to add it to our latte.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lavender flowers or edible dried lavender
Combine the sugar, water and lavender flowers in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let syrup steep. Leave for around 35 minutes.
Pour syrup into a sterilized glass jar or bottle through a sieve to remove the lavender flowers ; let cool. Now enjoy!
